This is a random text from an anonymous source close to me, exposing the irony in our present day situation. It is here for your enlightenment. I thought it so simple, yet so profound an definitely worth sharing…
“It just dawned on me today… linking the word socialism and social media. Socialism is the goal of the radical left. This should really be called ANTI-socialism. Taking away all sociality: school, church, work, gatherings, sports, restaurants… to replace it with social media: an unreal and never ending deluge of false teachings, rage, malice, fake news, frivolity, light mindedness, crudeness, contention and violence. When there is a sensible comment it is abruptly removed. When the dark side is exposed, those speaking out are ridiculed and silenced. Abinadi was a prophet from the Book of Mormon who spoke out against wicked rulers and corruption and was put to death. We are seeing it in our day.
If we lose our first amendment rights to free speech, we are in real bad shape. It is happening right before our eyes. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I believe that the worst is yet to come. It will get much much worse before it gets better. The signs of the times are upon us in full force. We can be optimistic, however, because we know that Christ will come and set up a perfect system here on the earth that we do not now enjoy. After a milennial reign of 1,000 years, this Earth will become glorified.
We believe the same sociality that exists here will exist among us there (in Heaven) but it will be accompanied with far greater heavenly glory which we do not now experience. Click here for the scripture reference D&C 130:2. I cannot wait for these sweet reunions. But maybe we don’t have to wait until the next life to get a taste of what it may be like.
This week I was encouraged when I went to the park and conversed with fellow Christians about our current situation as we watched our toddlers play together in the sand joyfully. Everyone was so kind. There were no masks but warm social engagement.
I also went to a “sound-bath” healing experience with like-minded individuals. I was refreshed by the zest for life. It was tangible with the smiles and energy in the room. The experience was mind blowing.
We are social creatures. We need interactions. Otherwise, we are already dead, walking zombies glued to our devices instead of being present.
A piece of advice for myself this week…WHEREVER YOU ARE, BE THERE! Be present. Engage with others and watch the miracles of life unfold.
Love it. So true!
Great post. Gifted writer. Thank you.
